BIO
Was born in 1970, and has lived in Andalucía for several years, in Vélez-Málaga, in the Axarquía.
After graduating in Fine Arts from the Complutense University in Madrid she widened her training at international level at the Academia Ligústica di Belle Arti, in Genoa and in sculpture at the Escuela Bottega in Florence. She has also trained in jewelry, goldsmithing and Preventative Conservation of Theatre Costume, and she has a Diploma from Madrid School of Stylists and Designers (ESED).
Within her wide creative universe, she works mainly in sculpture and painting in a very personal way as she makes her works using paper, not just any paper, but paper which she recycles from collections of memories sitting in corners of homes – letters of requited or unrequited love, traces of very special moments that form essential parts of living. These are gathered and transformed by the artist to bring their essence into a new work full of echoes thus giving birth to three-dimensional paintings and sculptures. These are impregnated with suggestive visual and emotive readings which invite a holistic look inside the interior of a human being.

Nació en Madrid en 1970 y vive en Andalucía desde hace años, concretamente en Vélez-Málaga, en la comarca de la Axarquía malagueña.
Licenciada en Bellas Artes por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, amplía su formación a nivel internacional en Italia, en la Academia Ligústica di Belle Arti, de Génova, y específicamente en Escultura, en la Escuela Bottega, de Florencia. Además, realizó otros estudios artísticos especializados en Joyería y Orfebrería y Conservación Preventiva Aplicada al Traje Escénico, y tiene una Diplomatura en la Escuela Superior de Estilistas y Diseñadores (ESED), de Madrid.
Dentro de su vasto universo creativo, la artista pone especial énfasis en la escultura y la pintura con un enfoque muy genuino, ya que elabora sus obras a base de papel reciclado, y no un papel cualquiera, sino aquel, aquellos, que formaron parte de una colección de recuerdos que reposan en lugares recónditos en los hogares, cartas de amor esperado, o desesperado… vestigios de momentos muy especiales que formaron parte vital del ser y que esta artista recoge y transforma para que trasladen su esencia a una obra nueva pero llena de evocaciones, dando lugar a pinturas y esculturas tridimensionales impregnadas de sugerentes lecturas visuales y emotivas que invitan a una mirada holística hacia el mundo interior del ser humano.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Through art I like to walk through the depths of the soul and uncover what is most deeply hidden. I navigate through the ancestral and archeological to bring it to contemporary currents, to a present that is born from the past. I use innovative, artistic techniques, lived and researched, fusions of colour, symmetries and textures like metaphors for the constant mixing and metamorphoses that we live in our journey through life.
The images and materials mixture shows my multidisciplinary artistic experience as a theatre costume designer, jewelry maker, painter and sculptor. All this is also nourished through living and learning during my artistic stays in Genoa, Italy and my present residence in the South, expressing my Málaga roots and the Mediterranean light.
In my artistic DNA there is always a conducting thread, up to date and latent, which works like a conversation between Nature, Man and God. An underlying metaphysical interconnection which produces material, paintings and sculptures which emphasise the search for answers inside through looking from outside.
PROPÓSITO
Desde el arte me gusta transitar por las profundidades del alma y descubrir lo que se halla más oculto. Navego en lo ancestral y arqueológico para trasladarlo a las corrientes contemporáneas, a un presente que renace desde el pasado mediante técnicas artísticas disruptivas vividas e investigadas, amalgamas de color, simetrías y texturas como metáforas de la continua metamorfosis y mezcolanzas que vivimos en nuestro sendero de vida.
La mixtura escénica y de materias pone de manifiesto mi experiencia artística multidisciplinar como diseñadora de moda para teatro, joyera, pintora y escultora, y se nutre también de lo vivido y aprendido en mis estancias artísticas en Génova, Italia, y en mi actual residencia en el Sur, expresando mis raíces malagueñas y la luz mediterránea.
En mi ADN artístico siempre hay un hilo conductor vigente y latente que funciona como una conversación entre Naturaleza, Hombre y Dios. Subyace una interconexión metafísica que da como resultado material pinturas y esculturas que pone el énfasis en la búsqueda de respuestas en el interior mediante una mirada desde afuera.
